Videopalooza
Over the last few weeks, the Campaign has released a number of
video offerings. Missed one (or some) of our fantastic videos? Get
back in the loop here:
- Can guys buy emergency contraception over the counter? Find out the answer in a brand new Fact or Fiction animated short from Bedsider.org. If you haven't seen the full oeuvre of Fact of Fiction videos, do yourself a favor and watch the magic.
- October is Let's Talk Month-a
time to underscore the importance of parent/child communication about
sex, love, and relationships. A new National Campaign video, Demasiado Joven, features Latino teen parents sharing their own personal stories about parenthood. Watch the video below and download the discussion guide. We hope that this video helps initiate a few parent/child conversations in October and beyond.
- Also premiering for Let's Talk Month is a series of eleven new videos for parents.
Two of the videos feature a group of nine teens offering advice to
parents about when to start conversations about sex, how to start them,
and what to say. The other nine videos focus specifically on advice from
an individual teen.
- Last but certainly not least are a series of new relationship videos. Each Friday over the course of the next six weeks, a new video will be posted on StayTeen.org.
One four-minute video features teens talking generally about
relationships; eight shorter videos feature teens addressing a specific
question about relationships. In the latest video, young people opine on
the best relationship advice they have ever received.

New Polling Show Parents Talk to their Teens about Sex but Shy Away from Tougher Topics
The poll, titled Let's Talk: Are Parents Tackling Crucial Conversations about Sex?,
was released on October 3, and is a nationally representative survey of
parents, measuring their comfort level and attitudes with regard to
talking to their children about sex.
