            Open a Window on California Philanthropy   Social media tools like Twitter give all of 
            us access to the important messages of institutional 
            philanthropists, increasing the transparency of philanthropy news 
            and trends. Thanks to support from the James Irvine Foundation, we 
            are piloting a regional approach to Glasspockets with a new

            Scholarships 
            for Full-Day Seminars   Scholarships are now available for 
            under-resourced nonprofits in California to attend the Foundation 
            Center's training courses. This initiative is generously supported 
            by contributions from Pacific Gas and Electric Company. These 
            scholarships are designed to assist small, community-based nonprofit 
            organizations to build their internal capacity in preparation for 
            seeking financial support from foundations, corporations, or other
