Please be my complimentary guest at the Oakland premier of the film "It's Basic" at the Grand Lake Theater this Tuesday - followed by a live panel discussion about the importance of the Guaranteed Income movement!

Stay for a live panel discussion after the movie, with me, Mayor Tubbs, and Alicia Roe - a participant in Oakland Resilient Families Guaranteed Income pilot.

Join me and former Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs for the highly anticipated premiere of the It's Basic Documentary as part of the Guaranteed Income Works National Tour. This in-person free event will be held at the Grand Lake Theatre in Oakland this Tuesday, September 12th 6:30 - 8:30pm, including a live panel following the 1 hour movie. Get ready to be inspired and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of guaranteed income policies and programs.

It's Basic is directed by Emmy award-winning independent film director Marc Levin, with Michael Tubbs as executive producer. This new documentary introduces viewers to participants of guaranteed income pilots led by Mayors for a Guaranteed Income, like the Oakland Resilient Families pilots here in Oakland.

Set against the backdrop of widening income gaps, politics, and growing social concern, It's Basic shows how guaranteed income pilots impacted the lives of Saint Paul families and others across the country. We know if more people see the stories of our participants and learn about how life-changing guaranteed income can be for families, support for the movement will only grow.
