THE Fifth Annual Golden Girls Hats & Gloves Tea
"Bridging the Generations"
 
The event will be held at the historic Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

Renel Brooks Moon among SF 100 Black Women honorees

WHAT-
The Fifth Annual Golden Girls Hats & Gloves Tea "Bridging the Generations," is a fundraiser that helps fund annual programs including education and financial literacy projects.  Keynote speaker is Grazell Howard, esq., National Vice President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, a member of the White House Project, and principal of King & Kairos, Ltd, Executive Coaching based in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Howard has been on the forefront of leading the charge against the HIV/AIDS battle The Walter Earl Group will provide special music.
 
WHERE- Fairmont Hotel, 950 Mason Street, San Francisco

WHY-The mission of the Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. is to advocate on behalf of Black women and other women of color through national and local actions and strategic alliances that promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment.  Events such as the Golden Girls Hats and Gloves Teas help fund programs to fulfill the organization's mission locally. Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
