Thanksgiving-Time to Think of Families

Dear Friends,

Tough times all around, huh?  But they are exciting times because you are in the midst.  You are here for "such a time as this."  I'm am thankful for yet another day to be able to get in there and change things around that I can manage and leave the rest to God.

"Let Go and Let God," is the word I received from a old clarinet player at the Embarcadero Station in San Francisco a few weeks ago.  His admonishment in response to my smileless face reminded of what I had shared with Miss Kelly's Butterflies during a class they had at the EOC over the summer.  "So what if life gives you challenges?  So what if you don't have the money you want.  So what if you didn't get that job?  So what if your friends "don't get you" anymore and its bye bye to BFF? So what?  So what are you gonna do?

What are you going to do?  Be thankful, first and foremost that you are still around to overcome the circumstances.  "Under the circumstances,".... It's time to get from under the circumstances.  With God's help, you can overcome.  "The enemy shall not outwit you neither shall the son of wickedness afflict you," Psalm 89:22.  Time to outwit the circumstances.  You can do it.

As I think of outwitting the enemy, I marvel at Dr. Brenda Wade who is on a quest to bring America's divorce rate down from 51% to 8.5% in five years.  Wow!  A lady with a mission and a plan,  the launch of Dr. Brenda's five year quest with the International Love, Money, and Seva Summit, December 9-12 in San Francisco is an audacious "So What!" "Net Saver," anyone?

The realities of our families Thanksgiving gatherings provide reminders that we need to do something.  If the U.S. can send a man to the moon, we the people can get down to the heart of the matter and save our relationships, marriages and children.

It's Thanksgiving!

So What?

Happy Thanksgiving!
