San Francisco City Hall Holiday Open House  

Sunday, December 12, 2:00-5:00p.m.,

Snow park festivities will take place between 10:00a.m.-6:00p.m.

Join Mayor Gavin Newsom and First Lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom to celebrate the holiday season at a City Hall Holiday Open House.  The afternoon's festivities will include entertainment by Magic*Magic Orchestra, light refreshments, and a snow park in the Civic Center Plaza between 10:00 a.m - 6:00p.m.  Guests are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for the San Francisco Food Bank food drive.

5:30p.m. - 8:00p.m., the World Tree of Hope will be on public view from December 1, 2010 - January 2, 2011.
at San Francisco City Hall, 1 Dr.Carlton Goodlett Place.
Admission: FREE

Rainbow World Fund and City Hall warmly invite you to make a wish and celebrate The World Tree of Hope -- a holiday tree decorated with thousands of white origami cranes, each containing a note of hope & peace from children and individuals from San Francisco and beyond.  The tree is a gift from members of the LGBTQ community to the international community -- to inspire hope and love and promote peace and humanitarianism. 

 

The festivities will include light refreshments and entertainment.

Please join the San Francisco Schools Committee, San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) Superintendent Carlos Garcia and the Mayor's Office to celebrate the San Francisco Inclusive Schools Week.  A ceremonial Mayoral Proclamation presentation will be at 12:00p.m. followed by remarks by Superintendent Carlos Garcia.

Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
