For over 25 years, the San Francisco Conservation Corps
which got its start under then San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein, has
improved the lives of young people while improving the environment.
Long before it was fashionable to "go green," SFCC helped young people
improve the environment by recycling, planting gardens, and cleaning up
San Francisco while changing their lives. As the young people worked,
they received their education and a pathway to a better life. Many
young people who fell through the cracks, were saved when SFCC gave
them their another chance. Many headed for unproductive lives turned
their lives around through the corps.
You can make a
difference by coming out on May 5th to celebrate "The Future
Hard at Work." Please join us for a fabulous evening reception filled
with delicious food, drinks, our friends and supporters as we
celebrate
"The Future. Hard at Work."
The celebration will take place from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at the historic
San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center's
Green Room. Your donation or a ticket which begins at $90 can help turn around the lives of many more young people.
