 San Francisco Kicksoff CARNAVAL 2011 

 

 

San Francisco-Hot music and hot moves filled San Francisco City Hall as hundreds gathered for the kickoff of Carnaval 2011 last Friday!

The crowd was composed of the young and old and all the colors of the rainbow, as Mayor Ed Lee expressed his thrill at being the first Asian American Mayor to welcome the everyone to take part in the signature San Francisco event that brings people from around the world to visit San Francisco.

to San Francisco's multicultural two-day fun-filled event.  "As a filmmaker and new member of SFCAT, it is indeed an honor for me to be on the board the year Danny Glover is named Grand Marshal," said Jacquie Taliaferro of LaHitz Media. "Danny and I have worked together during the Cannes International Film Festival in France on several occasions and it's great to be involved in a project together where we both grew up.  It's a great homecoming in our wonderful multicultural City."

Carnaval 2011. Henley known for his roles in many TV series and films such as Crash, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Miami Vice, also produced and acted in the Independent film "90404 Changing" co- produced with his wife, Paulina Sahagun.

(dance, fitness and cultural workout) and Caribelinq.  Williams is known for throwing the hottest Carnaval After-parties around. Stars Danny Glover and Shabaka Henley are slated to be in the house as Theo "Maestro of the Carnaval Funk" gets the crowd grooving.
