Conservative estimates still indicate that every 10 minutes, a woman dies in Nigeria on account of complications of pregnancy or child birth, a staggering 53,000 women per year.   Your support and participation are needed to address these issues.  The Healthline Maternal and Infant Care  program, with support from the highest levels of the Nigerian government, incorporates delivery of free maternal care, and new borne child health care services. The Healthline Foundation rolled out its program in three of the ten target pilot states in Nigeria; Adamawa, Ogun, Zamfara, Ebonyi, Bayelsa, Kwara, Taraba,  Enugu, Kano and Imo, and are pleased to announce that the first ladies (governors' wives) of the Nigerian pilot states will take time from their schedules to join the foundation at the summit.  This and the special appearance of the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha underscores the significance and urgency of the program.
