NOTES:  The City and County of San Francisco, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco and the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco invite you to attend the 2nd Annual San Francisco Financial Planning Day. Last year approximately 500 San Franciscans and volunteers joined the event; this year they anticipate approximately 800 attendees!  You will be able to meet one-on-one with dozens of professional financial planners and certified credit counselors to discuss your personal finance questions, concerns and interest. 
Whether you need guidance with basic financial planning, credit, debt management or more specialized advice on retirement planning, investment strategies, estate planning, tax issues, insurance, or employee benefits, over 80 highly competent and ethical financial planners and certified credit counselors will be able to assist you. And you can consult with more than one planner!

WHEN: Monday, October 24th is the last day to turn in voter registration cards for this November 8th, 2011 election. Please turn in all cards to City Hall between 8-5 today and tomorrow or Monday until 8pm

Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
