Dear Friends of the Jazz Heritage Center,

The Jazz Heritage Center supports jazz, and we also support our neighbors in the Fillmore.  Join us this coming Monday, October 24 here in our space and in Yoshis for two community music events!

We are one of the sponsors for an American Cancer Society benefit Monday at Yoshi's.  This is the 36th anniversary performance of the San Francisco All-Star Big Band under the direction of David Hardiman, Sr. and features the incomparable Denise Perrier on vocals as well as Nina Causey and D. Anthony.  That's an 8pm performance, and tickets can be purchased online at Yoshis.
- A Senior Moment -

The JHC is also a sponsor of the Fillmore community's Senior Moment salute to three women active in helping seniors.  This Monday night celebration includes a 7pm performance with the legendary Lady Mem'fis in our Lush Life Gallery

For Blues lovers, Senior Moment presents The Silver Fox in Yoshi's front lounge beginning at 8:30.  Both events are free for those 50 and over, and $20 for everyone else.

- NEXT EXHIBIT -

Our Koret Heritage Lobby and Lush Life Gallery exhibits will give way next week to a powerful photographic exhibit of the Asian American struggle for Civil Rights brought to you by the Asian Law Caucus.  We hope you'll enjoy this rare educational opportunity.

We hope you'll also take one last look at our Gallery exhibit honoring the 50th anniversary of Impulse! Records and our Koret Heritage Lobby salute to the 30th anniversary of the Asian American Jazz Festival.
It's that time of year again!

Time to plan your year-end holiday festivities.  The Lush Life Gallery is the perfect setting for company celebration, a year-end fundraiser, or a family and friends get-together.  You can also book our Media & Education Center for an evening of movies with your friends, a fundraiser for your organization or a presentation for your clients.  For details, please e-mail us HERE.

The year end is also a special time to think of giving.  Give yourself or a friend the gift of a $60 Jazz Heritage Center membership, which gives you and them access at a reduced price to our programs and gives us increased financial resources to serve you.  Stay tuned for more to come!
