Night with the Divas - Additional Information

Four stars will light up the evening sky on November 6th when local singing divas take center stage in a benefit concert for San Francisco's Black Coalition on AIDS (BCA). Stellar vocalists Paula West, Faye Carol, Denise Perrier and Jennifer Bryce will appear in the concert titled "Night with the Divas" and will be will be accompanied by San Francisco's internationally-acclaimed Marcus Shelby Trio. The concert will include interpretations of American Standards, jazz, blues and soul music. The artists will also pay tribute to the great ladies of jazz.

All donations will benefit the Black Coalition on AIDS and its Rafiki Wellness Center, marking 25 years of service this year.

"This is a special event for our community," commented Perry Lang, Executive Director of BCA. "The idea of the concert evolved from community collaborations and a desire of the participants to help the agency, which has been hit hard by budget cuts." Lang said all of the performers have donated their time and talent to help make this happen. "BCA will be forever grateful," he said.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.bcoa.org or by sending a check or money order payment to BCA, c/o Development Director, 2800 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94107. Ticket donations are $35 for general admission, and $50 for priority seating and the VIP reception, which begins at 4 p.m. For additional information, contact Adrian Tyler at (415) 615-9945, ext. 107, or send email to developmentdirector@bcoa.org
