There

Slow Cooked Braised Beef Brisket
Serves 6
10-12 hours low or 5-6 hours high
1 lb fresh beef brisket
2 cups of sliced carrots
1 cup finely chopped white large onion
1 cup dry red wine
1/3 cup tomato paste
2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. garlic salt
2 tsp. liquid smoke
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. Slap Ya Momma Creole Seasoning
or seasoning salt
salt and pepper
3 cups hot cooked mashed potatoes
Trim
fat from brisket. Cut beef to fit in a 5-quart slow cooker. Place
carrots and onion in cooker. Top with brisket. In a medium bowl stir
together wine, tomato paste, tapioca, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt,
liquid smoke, and chili powder; pour over brisket in cooker.
Cover and cook on low-heat (10-12 hours) or high heat (5-6 hours). Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve vegetables and brisket with mash potatoes.
