For all you salseros out there Urban Music is thrilled to bring Orquesta La Moderna Tradicion to George's Nightclub on their 4th Thursday Salsa Night on December 22 at 9pm!

Orquesta La Moderna Tradición captures the fiery, sensual, and unforgettable style of the Havana social clubs of the 1950s. The dance floor will be open as the 9-piece ensemble, the only band of its kind in America, plays danzones, cha-chas and salsa music at George's.

From the first note, you'll want to jump out of your seat! Orquesta La Moderna Tradición bursts with the sweet yet powerful sound of the Afro-Cuban charanga orchestra, which features violins and woodwinds interlocking with driving afro-Cuban rhythms.

Since 1996, the 9-piece group has thrilled audiences across the country with a mix of contemporary timba-infused arrangements guaranteed to get you on your feet and traditional danzónes that transport you back to the Havana social clubs of the 1950s.

The band is:
Tregar Otton - Violin
Michael Spiro - Congas
Jesus "Chus" Alonso - Flute
Carlos Caro - Timbales
Eduardo Herrera - Vocals
Felix Samuel - Vocals
Steve Senft-Herrera - Bass
Bob Karty - Piano
