Keep the Spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Alive Through Service
January 17, 2012

Dear Friends,

The best of the New Year to You!  I hope you had a wonderful Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration.

You may have seen this request in December about San Francisco Conservation Corps and the work substantive work it is doing for youth of color.  In the rush of the Holidays you may have thought about making a year end contribution, but forgot.

I am asking you to make at least a ten dollar donation ( the cost of a movie) or any multiple of ten and then forward this email to ten of your friends letting them know you have made at least a $10 donation with the hope they will do so to. (Ten by Ten Favor)  Here's the Link.

And the original message about SFCC is below.

Thanks for taking a moment to make a world of difference by being the change you want to see with a "little change" as a way to celebrate the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in an on-going way.

Support the San Francisco Conservation Corps~making a grassroots difference in lives and the environment.

All is well in 20-12!

Sincerely,

Jackie

San Francisco Conservation Corps Greening San Francisco in More Ways Than One

receiving her education and job training!

Dear Friends,

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll keep my comments relatively short.

Picture this, a young person falls between the cracks of life and is at a dead end with no prospects except a life of crime and prison!  It looks like their life will fade to black quick and in a hurry, but alas life brightens when they find out about the San Francisco Conservation Corps.  The corps has changed a dark picture to a bright future for young people for more than 25 years, giving them an education and job skills while keeping San Francisco green through recycling, landscaping, playground renovation services and other community services.

It's the end of the year! Whether you need a big tax break and have to off load some of your tax burden or if you just want to do good and feel good inside, contribute financially to the San Francisco Conservation Corps.

Read more about the corps: www.sfcc.org, visit FACEBOOK-http://www.facebook.com/SanFranciscoConservationCorps or check out this great article.

Picture yourself making a difference in the lives of young people!

Give to the San Francisco Conservation Corps.  Click Here!  If you really want to get double for your investment, here's an idea: Buy out the house at the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre and donate the tickets to the San Francisco Conservation Corps to resell as a fundraiser. In one night SFCC could raise $7,000 or more!  Wow...you help two great organizations and you take a load off your taxes!

I picture you smiling!
