Dear Friends,

Are you looking for inspiration, better health, news you can use and the latest on entertainment and the art scene?

Whether you are black, white, gay or straight, you will find this multicultural show uplifting and exciting. Join me and my special guests THIS SUNDAY, February 19th at 8:00am PST as I host Black Renaissance on CBS/CW Network Cable 12, Channel 44.

Actor, Carl Lumbly, a true master of his craft, will give you a

sneak peak at his starring role in the new Lorraine Hansberry Theatre production Blue Orange (a must see theatrical experience). You may have seen him in the Hollywood Blockbusters, "Men of Honor," "How Stella Got Her Groove Back," and "Everybody's All-American." On TV, you've seen him in "M.A.N.T.I.S" and Cagney and Lacey" to name a few.  He also played CIA agent 'Marcus Dixon,' the mild-mannered field partner to agent 'Sydney Bristow' (Jennifer Garner) on Alias, for five seasons.  He currently has a recurring role on the TNT cop drama, Southland, where he plays a new police captain. Tomorrow, I will share my private interview with Carl. For tickets to Blue Orange go to: http://www.lhtsf.org/

Cynthia Carey-Grant, Executive Director at Women Organized to Respond to Life-threatening Disease (WORLD) will inspire you as she talks about the services which now reaches over 12,000 people in 87 nations! WORLD supports women around the world, distributing valuable and debunking misconceptions about AIDS/HIV.

Linda Calhoun, Founder of CareerGirls.org will share insights on how young girls and women can make their dreams come true through on-line mentoring from successful women. In 1999, armed with a video camera and dozens of questions, Linda began traveling around the country filming interviews with a range of accomplished female professionals. Now, she has a collection of interviews, lesson plans and educational materials that is helping young women of all ethnicities, ages, and income levels attain their career dreams.

Black Renaissance promises to get you inspired! Join us THIS SUNDAY, February 19th at 8:00am on CBS/CW Network Cable 12, Channel 44!

For those of you outside the Bay Area, soon you will be able to watch online; we'll keep you posted!

Many Blessings,

Dr. Brenda
