San Francisco Black Film Festival is Coming!!
The Encounter
The Films are rolling in and they look fantastic!! Local, National, and International filmmakers are submitting the films as you are reading this. I wish I could tell you what will be at the next festival but we are still in the process of choosing the films to screen. I love this time of year viewing what the world has been working on so hard to bring to San Francisco. Shorts, DOCS, Features, LGBT, Student, Videos, and even animation is making its way to the next festival. We have a couple of the venues locked and loaded and are working hard to give positive Black films a home in the Bay Area. If you are a filmmaker, it is not too late for you to submit. If you know of one... please pass this news letter on. The SFBFF is coming! Get ready!

THE SAN FRANCISCO BLACK FILM FESTIVAL was founded with the artistic vision to provide a platform for Black filmmakers, screenwriters, and actors to present their art. As a competitive film festival, SFBFF identifies filmmakers, screenwriters, and actors that are emerging as talents and established artists who are contributing to the cinematic legacy of African Americans. SFBFF conscientiously expands the notions of "Black film-making" to a global perspective. Hence, film submissions are accepted worldwide from filmmakers and screenwriters who are of African descent or feature actors representing the African Diaspora.
