Greetings!

Lights, movie, camera, action!

It's that special time again in the city of Oakland to highlight independent films from Oakland filmmakers and filmmakers from around the globe.

This year, the 10th Oakland International Film Festival will feature a few classic films of the past in addition to recent short and feature length productions.

We are currently solidifying all the details of this years festival.

Information belowl will answer a few general questions  of how you can get involved.

We are currently seeking films that inspire and empower communities to become self sufficient and sustainable. We are excepting other types of films (shorts, feature, animation, experimental) as well. The Call for Entries deadline is February 1st, 2012. Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses to join our marketing campaign for this years festival.  The Deadline for artwork is February 5th. 

Join today and have your business included in our program guide, bus shelters, on our website, and other marketing materials scheduled to hit the streets of Oakland on the 1st of March.

Made in Oakland and Support Oakland Artist are teaming up to connect products Made in Oakland including films made by Oakland filmmakers. We believe products, including films made in Oakland, can stimulate our economy, while improving the image of Oakland.

Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
