San Francisco-With programs that benefit the community
far beyond it's 1,500 member congregation, Calvary Hill Community
Church celebrates it's First Couple, Dr. Joseph and First Lady Kelly
Bryant on Sunday, March 25 and launches new hours for its Calvary Books
and Gifts Store on Saturday, March 24, 2012.
"The
16th "Labor of Love" Appreciation Anniversary for Dr. and Mrs. Joseph
Bryant Jr. gives us an opportunity to pause and give thanks for our
leadership. The work of Lady Kelly and Dr. Bryant for the community is a
labor of love," said Reverend Timothy Dupre, Assistant Pastor, Calvary
Hill Community Church.
"From
bringing information to fight and avoid foreclosures, to educating
children with the 'Vision Academy After School Program,' to providing a
fitness center, to partnering with local hospitals for nutritional and
well-being programs, we hope our friends and neighbors will come out
and help us recognize Dr. Bryant and First Lady Kelly for their
community contributions," added Dupre.
The
line up of visiting ministers for Sunday's appreciation are as follows:
8:00 a.m. service it will be Pastor Martin Peters of Victory Baptist
Church in Oakland; 10:00 a.m. service it will be Bishop Charles
Dickerson, State Bishop for California's Full Gospel Baptist Church
Fellowship, Pastor of Pearly Grove Baptist Church in Fresno; and at 12
noon completing the celebration will be Pastor Chris Williams of
Harvest Fellowship in Oakland.
The
Bryant's will be available to meet and greet members and visitors
after each service. "We've invited the Mayor and Supervisor Malia Cohen
to join us as their schedule allows, said Ronzy Johnson, 16th
Appreciation Anniversary Chairperson. "And for those who would like to
support our appreciation, sending a financial contribution is a
wonderful gesture; but bringing one in honor of Dr. Joseph Bryant Jr.
and Lady Kelly would be optimum. With or without a contribution, we
just want everyone to come out and enjoy and see why we are celebrating
and appreciating our pastor and his wife," added Johnson.
