For ten years, David Roach, Executive Director of the Oakland International Film Festival has branded Oakland as a destination for the Arts, creating good news in Oakland.  From international filmmakers to Oakland and Bay Area filmmakers, the Oakland International Film Festival is "more than a pretty face." 

As the Oakland International Film Festival grows, it creates tourism, generates commerce as people visit Oakland and as residents come out and enjoy the City, and OIFF stimulates creativity and access to new artists as well as established artists.

You are cordially invited to the Oakland International Film Festival VIP Reception at FAZ, 1111 Broadway, kicking off the film festival on Thursday, April 5, 6-9 p.m.
