SABC'S Annual Recognition and Scholarship Dinner

Congratulating the

2012 Rosenwald "Robbie" Robertson and Cheryl Fisher Memorial

Scholarship Recipients

 

Sacramento...Please join the Sacramento Area Black Caucus (SABC) as it acknowledges the honorees during its Annual Scholarship Recognition Dinner  for the Rosenwald "Robbie" Robertson and Cheryl Fisher Memorial Scholarships Saturday, May 5 2012, at A' Touch A' Class Restaurant, 4217 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, 95820. The dinner is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The cost is $10 per person.                          

 

Darryl White, will be this year's keynote speaker. Mr. White is a parent, educator, chair of the Black Parallel School Board, a Sacramento community base advocacy group and the Founder and CEO of Sacramento Independent Learning Center (a local non-profit).

 

Join the SABC in congratulating the recipients of the 2012 Rosenwald "Robbie" Robertson Memorial Scholarship. Each year the SABC, awards $500 academic scholarships to local high school and college students. 

 

The 2012 Returning Scholarship Students:                                                                                  

·         Diamond Garnett: A freshman at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Majoring in Communication Studies.

·         Jessica Reede: A sophomore at California State University Sacramento. Majoring in Elementary Special Education and minor in Communication Studies

·         Camille Smith: A sophomore at Howard University. Majoring in Communication Studies - media.

      The 2011 Scholarship Recipients

·         Ryan Stewart: A student of Pleasant Grove High School Plans to attend George Mason University. Major in Global Affairs.

·         Brelaun Douglas: A student of Monterey Trail High School. Plans to attend Howard University.   Majoring in Journalism.

·         Kaylah Nikol Cooley: A freshman of California State University, Northridge. Major in Child Development and Psychology

·         Jennifer Kimbell: Freshman at Langston University. Majoring in Health Administration
