Loyal KBLX Listener,
The Bay Area is a special place and what makes KBLX special is you, our, passionate and loyal listener. Without you KBLX wouldn't be what it is today. I want to personally take a minute to explain the recent KBLX changes to you.
Inner City Broadcasting, which owned KBLX, filed for bankruptcy last year. Luckily for us Entercom stepped up and saved KBLX. Entercom bought our station out of bankruptcy and as of today is now operating KBLX.
KBLX is a heritage brand that has made a difference in the lives of people in the Bay Area for 33 years and under Entercom's leadership it will continue to do so. Entercom is 110% committed to making a strong brand, even better.
Please know that the Entercom team is taking good care of all of us. We couldn't have received a warmer welcome. To be honest with you, saying goodbye to Kevin Brown and Antoine Davis was not easy. And I know that you loved and appreciated them as well.
This is an exciting day for KBLX. Our format will stay. What makes KBLX a special station will continue, broadcasting the very best R&B to the very best audience in America.
I am staying at KBLX and I will be an active part of the new morning show with Steve Harvey. I'm hoping we can count on you for your continued support as we make this transition. I will work hard everyday to bring what makes the Bay Area special directly to you. KBLX will never lose its local perspective and what makes it so special. Please let me know how I can continue to provide exemplary service to the Bay Area Community.
Thank you again for your passion and your commitment to our station.
Sincerely,
Nikki Thomas
