September 11, 2012

October 20, 7 pm, Ambassador Andrew Young speaks at the Barbara Lee & Elihu Harris Lecture Series in Oakland. Will Young speak about the unfortunate death of Christopher Stevens, Ambassador to Libya, and three other embassy staff in an attack of the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi on 9-11-12? Will Young give insights on the attacks in Libya and nearby Egypt where protestors stormed the American Embassy, took down the American Flag and replaced it with a black flag with Arabic writing? How does the current national and international  violence and state of U.S. Foreign Affairs impact efforts to arrive at peace? How does the philosophy of Civil Rights and nonviolence play into current affairs? Come hear what he has to say.
