Housing & Foreclosure Info from Office of Shelly Tatum
October 6, 2012

During Fleet Week, the America's Cup, festivals and more in San Francisco, a diligent group of people are keeping their "eye on the prize" to save homes. From San Francisco Supervisor John Avalos' News Conference to Fight Foreclosure strategy meetings, San Franciscans take time to get down to business amid, Fleet Week, The America's Cup, "The Hardly Blue Grass Festival" and other entertainment as more than a million people flock into the City.  Shelly Tatum shares notice from Grace Martinez of Cal Organize.

Hi All,

So much going on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Here's the schedule:

First - Regular Foreclosure and Eviction Fighter Saturday meeting for tomorrow is a special meeting for folks that are in the post foreclosure and pending eviction, pending auction, and new cases. If you fall into one of these categories and I have NOT called you, it's important that you come. Saturday, 10am at ACCE office (1717 17th St. 2nd floor)

Second - PRESS CONFERENCE FOR HOUSING 9:30am at 5199 Mission St. (off Geneva)
This is a press conference that Foreclosure Fighters have been invited to, by Supervisor John Avalos, to publicize Prop. C, the Housing Trust Fund. Please come and show your support for Prop. C, and of course, at the very least, Maria Villareal, Excelsior ACCE Foreclosure Fighter that fought and won an affordable modification, speak.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER, are mobilizing to GET OUT THE VOTE and make sure that Unions, of which many of us are apart of and many times our strongest allies in this fight against the bank, keep their political voice.

We are meeting at 10:30am 4625 Mission St. after the press conference.

Banks, Hedge Fund companies - many who have destroyed the economy, foreclosure on our homes, and continue to profit from it - have put BILLIONS of dollars into Prop. 32, that would strip unions of their right to lobby, pass legislation, and exercise their political power. The same Billionaires would be the only "special interest" that would have the power to "exercise" their voice - through money in Super PACs.

We'll also have the opportunity to talk to people that might be underwater, fighting their bank, or want to get involved in the Foreclosure Fighter Campaign.

I hope to see everyone there, especially if you like to walk, talk, or are looking to loose weight - some of those hills are no joke, so make sure you get a good precinct.
