Eriq LaSalle Joins SF Chapter of National Coalition of 100 Black Women

San Francisco - October 15, 2012- The San Francisco Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women invites you to Yoshi's as they host the book signing of Eriq LaSalle's "Laws of Depravity," November 10, 5:00 p.m.

An American actor, director, writer and producer, Eriq LaSalle is known for his portrayals of Darryl in Eddie Murphy's 1988 comedy film "Coming to America" and Dr. Peter Benton on the NBC drama series "ER."

"We're pleased to host the book signing and we invite the Bay Area to come out and meet Eriq," said Dr. Maxine Waters, President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, San Francisco Chapter.  "Eriq is benefiting the work of our chapter as we raise funds and bring awareness to our programs such as the "Employment and Job Training Program."  Not only will attendees have a chance to meet Eriq and buy the book, they'll find out about upcoming events such as our "Day at the Races" in a few weeks on  December 1 and our annual 'Golden Girls Hats and Gloves Tea,' March 2, 2013.

Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
