Dexter Woods Sr. will receive the NAACP Community Award for his work as Executive Director of San Francisco Juneteenth Festival; San Francisco Alumnae Chapter of
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,
will receive the NAACP Rosa Parks Award for their commitment and
dedication to the African American Community and for their positive
efforts impacting women and youth;
Naomi M. Kelly, San
Francisco City Administrator will receive the NAACP Public Service
Award for being the first woman and African American to serve as City
Administrator of the City and County of San Francisco;
Fredrick Douglas Butler, Esq.,
will receive the NAACP Advocacy Award for his legal work as an
arbitrator and mediator for Civil Rights and Residential Real Estate
disputes; and
The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of San Francisco
will receive the NAACP Presidential Medal of Freedom Award for securing
equal justice for all through the rule of law, targeting in particular
the inequities confronting African Americans and other racial and
ethnic minorities.
