CEO Deborah Alvarez-Rodriquez Leaves Goodwill on a Good Note Over $20 million Stronger

Just a few days after Thanksgiving,
Goodwill Industries announced Deborah Alvarez-Rodriquez would be leaving
the company to start a new journey for herself and the company by
December 31, 2012.

innovation and community impact," said Ms. Alvarez-Rodriguez. "I am

future." "Deborah's
commitment and work with Goodwill has dramatically improved the
organization's stability, effectiveness and sustainability. She has
greatly strengthened us and positioned Goodwill as a highly effective
social enterprise," said Board Chair Jane Vaughan. "The Board hired
Deborah to ready the organization for the next century and we are
confident Goodwill is perfectly positioned for the future." Alvarez-Rodriguez
is named "The Most Admired Nonprofit CEO" by San Francisco Business
Times. Goodwill's accomplishments since 2004 include: -
Goodwill revenues grew by 80 percent moving an earnings deficit to
profitability with budget growth from $22 million to $42 million
annually.
- Goodwill has received one of the highest rankings from Charity Navigator - the largest independent charity evaluator.
- Goodwill provided over 25,000 people education, training, support, case management, career advising and coaching.
