WELCOME TO 2013!
 
Join us this Saturday for our first exhibit of the year in the Lush Life Gallery.  In partnership with the Ethiopian Arts Forum (AEF), we invite you to  a visiaul feast of Ethiopian art, a brief talk about Ethiopian art and music by Professor Andugnaw Worku, and live jazz.
 
Saturday, January 12 from 6 to 9 PM
1320 Fillmore Street
Free and open to the public.

ENJOY THE RHYTHMS AND ROOTS OF CUBA through a new photographic exhibit in our Koret Heritage Lobby at 1330 Fillmore Street.  The exhibit features the work of Lewis Watts.  Watts is a photographer, archivist/curator, professor of Art at UC Santa Cruz and co-author Harlem of the West: The San Francisco Fillmore Jazz Era.
 
The exhibit runs through February 17
Free and open to the public

Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
