TOP ATHLETES CREATE "A CHAMPION'S PLAYLIST"
TO INSPIRE FANS

Motivating Music Offers Fans a Chance to Win Tickets to Music's Biggest Night®

SANTA MONICA, Calif.  (Jan. 25, 2013) - Top athletes have teamed with The Recording Academy® to create motivating music playlists featuring GRAMMY® -winning recordings. Ike Davis (MLB player for the New York Mets), Frankie Edgar (UFC competitor), Tracy Little (Olympic synchronized swimmer), Jason Richardson (NBA player for the Philadelphia 76ers), and Aldon Smith (NFL player for the San Francisco 49ers) have each created "A Champion's Playlist," which will be streaming online via digital music service Rdio

The sports stars will present their individual playlists through their respective Twitter handles and the athlete whose playlist receives the most votes will then choose a winner, at random, who will receive two tickets to the 55th Annual GRAMMY® Awards and a two-night stay courtesy of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.  The leader board and complete contest rules can be found at www.grammys.kred.com.  The contest runs Jan. 25 - Feb. 1, 2013.

The music industry's premier event will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 10, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network  from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The show also will be supported on radio worldwide via Dial Global, and covered online at GRAMMY.com and CBS.com, and on YouTube.
