Texas Public Schools Week
Texas is celebrating public schools and everyone involved in making them successful.  Dallas ISD has several educational events scheduled and the Chamber is hosting Texas Commissioner of Education Michael Williams at a Friday event.

Texas Wins Governor's Cup in Landslide
Dallas-Fort Worth and Texas are leading the nation for businesses, earning the annual Site Selection Magazine's Governor's Cup.  It's given to the state with the most new and expanded corporate facilities based on capital projects.

Member Marketplace: A Place For Deals
Member Marketplace was unveiled Friday.  It's a place for members to post deals, make requests for products and services and highlight their company to the community and it's all free.

Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
