BRINGING THE ART TO THE AUDIENCE series:

Start Fair by Aaron Carter
Start Fair
by Aaron Carter
Staged reading directed by Steven Anthony Jones

In the days immediately following the Emancipation Proclamation, two former slaves set out in search of a sense of their own identities as free men. Where will they live? How will they eat? What kind of principles will they hold? Ultimately, what kind of men will they be?

In turns humorous and moving, Start Fair is a brilliant script from a talented new playwright.

Fri., March. 15, 2013 at 6:30pm
presented at the
Joyce Gordon Gallery
406 14th St, Oakland, CA 94612
