The Greatest Message of All Time: "For God So Loved the World"
April 14, 2013

Greatest Message of All Time

The Holy Bible is the greatest and best selling book of all time.  As I work daily with strategic messages and in communications, I often think about the key messages that have eternal value.

  God is all about communications.

"And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light." Genesis 1:3

The first creative action was the spoken word.

The Holy Bible shows God continued with his key messages throughout the pages and ages.

In the past God spoke to our people through the prophets. He spoke to them many times and in many different ways. And now in these last days, God has spoken to us again through his Son. He made the whole world through his Son. And he has chosen his Son to have all things.  The Son shows the glory of God.  Hebrews 1:1-3

"God loves you" is a key message that is so often overlooked.

For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

Why did God send His Son?

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. John 3:17-18

Since we have now been justified by his blood (Jesus'), how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!  Romans 5:9

Saved from What?  God's judgment!

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when His righteous judgment will be revealed. God "will repay each person according to what they have done." To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.  But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.  Romans 2:5-8

God judges sin.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

But what did we do to deserve judgment?

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man (Adam), and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned- Romans 5:12

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God-Romans 3:23

I could write a book, but it's already been written.  The bottom line is that the Holy Bible is the greatest redemption story of all time.  God redeemed sinful mankind by giving of Himself.   But the choice is ours...God is not making robots to share eternity.

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Romans 5:17

Eternity is a long time.... Those that may have made it to the ripe old age of 100 in the 1700's, or in the 1200's for instance, have spent more time in eternity than on earth.  So as I figure it, it's important to invest a little time in the Holy Bible to gain eternal life rather than going through life without even investigating something that has a "forever" ROI (return on investment).  Here are a couple of resources for you on the Internet: http://www.biblegateway.com; http://www.bible.org.  Begin the journey of more than a thousand miles; begin the journey of eternity by studying the Psalms and the Gospel of John. From there, read Matthew through Revelation and then take on reading Genesis through Revelation.

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. Deuteronomy 30:19

Eternal Life or Eternal Death-We can choose our destiny.

You will discover that picking up the Holy Bible to read just a few minutes a day may not be as easy as you may think.  When the distractions (pleasant and unpleasant) and opposition come, try even harder to open the Book because the forces of darkness believe you belong to their lot.  Know that there is a fight on for your soul to keep you right where you are in an unrepentant state.

YOU ARE OF GREAT VALUE!

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.  2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Eternal Life or Eternal Death-We can choose our destiny.

Strategically speaking,
