 Who: Jinho "The Piper" Ferreira, of internationally known alternative Hip-Hop     band, Flipsyde, (Flipsyde's has written anthems for the 2006 Winter Olympics and the 2008 Summer Olympics, performed with The Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Busta Rhymes and more); Piper is an actor, writer, playwright and law enforcement officer; Ami Zins- director, producer and film industry consultant, and award-winning Director of the Oakland Film Office (1998-2011), receiving recent honor from the Directors' Guild of America; Lew Levinson- the former Chair of the Theater Arts Department at Laney College, for over 30 years, has produced and directed over 40 full-length college, community, and professional plays.

 

What:It's a tale of more than two cities. It's the tale of violence in America.  Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Oakland, "Cops and Robbers" is a "must see" one man-show by Jinho "The Piper" Ferreira and directed by Ami Zins and Lew Levinson for mature audiences.

One internationally known alternative Hip-Hop artist, actor, award-winning screenwriter, who hasn't given up his day job as a law enforcement officer, gives a response through a one man show-examining issues of law enforcement, media, race, politics, broken homes, broken hearts and the human condition. "Cops and Robbers" is sure to motivate audiences to "do something."
