Hi Jackie,

May is Teacher Appreciation month. To make sure our City’s hardworking teachers feel appreciated we are gathering notes from as many people as we can.

San Francisco Giants players Brandon Belt, Sergio Romo and Jeremy Affeldt all expressed their heartfelt thanks to San Francisco teachers. Click the photo to hear what they have to say.

You can help teachers feel good too! Please post a note about your favorite teacher and help spread the word by asking your network of friends, colleagues, parents and students to post a note as well.

We are hoping to collect as many notes as possible by May 20th to send to all SFUSD teachers to show our gratitude for all of their hard work.

Even if you don’t know a San Francisco teacher, write a note to your favorite teacher growing up. When we surveyed SF teachers in the past they said any good stories about teachers making a difference are uplifting to read.

Thanks for your support!

Director of Communications
