Healthy Smiles, Healthy Body Dental Grant

Since our Recovery Walk in 2009, the Support 4 Recovery, Inc. Advisory Council has had the County Dental Program give free assessments of our participants. What we found out was that most of the people who received assessments had not addressed their dental issues at all or would remove the teeth because this was the most affordable way.  S4R is proud to announce that in 2013 we are accepting applications for our forth Healthy Smiles, Healthy Body Dental Grant.

Dental health is always put aside for tomorrow, however it is probably the most important factor to success in so many different ways.  When individuals get into recovery and start to rebuild their lives employment is one of the most important goals. Going on job interviews with bad or no teeth not only keeps someone from smiling but it also greatly affects their self esteem.
