RSVP by calling (510) 434-3988

In less than two weeks, Martin Luther King III will be joining us in Oakland as a guest speaker for The Barbara Lee & Elihu Harris Lecture Series. This free event will take place on Saturday, March 29th, 7pm at the Allen Temple Baptist Church located at 8501 International Blvd. in Oakland. If you haven't RSVPed yet, I urge you to do so now as space is limited.

As the oldest son of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King, Martin Luther King III has seized the torch lit by his parents and is continuing their quest for equality and justice for all people. Motivating audiences around the world with his insightful message of hope and responsibility for nearly twenty years, Mr. King's dedication to creating and implementing strategic nonviolent action to rid the world of social, political, and economic injustice has propelled him to the forefront as one of the nation's most ardent advocates for the poor, the oppressed and the disillusioned.

Sherry Hu of CBS5 will be joining us as Master of Ceremonies and the evening's program will include performances by the amazing Bettie Mae Fikes along with the Allen Temple Unity Choir. This event is not to be missed!

TO RSVP: Call the Freedom Center at (510) 434-3988 between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday.

For a stronger democracy,
