Dear Corporate Leader:

This year is a major milestone for the historic Capital Press Club. It is our 70th Anniversary and we are excited about our upcoming celebration, a gala reception May 29, 2014.

For seven decades this historic organization has evolved to unite and uplift African-American communications professionals from all disciplines with events offering professional development, networking, business development opportunities, entrepreneurship, social/digital media training, issues advocacy and public forums. Its diverse professional and student membership is dedicated to maintaining superior standards of ethics, promoting cooperative business competition, and addressing the recruitment and retention of qualified minority communications professionals.

Our planning committee has been hard at work planning the Capital Press Club's 70th Anniversary Gala Reception, slated for Thursday, May 29, 2014, location to be announced. As indicated by our esteemed list of honorary chairs, this event will attract top communications executives, accomplished business leaders, celebrities, entrepreneurs and of course working media.

In addition, the gala will afford us the opportunity to continue two of our hallmark traditions. Those traditions are: Honoring outstanding achievements and supporting young communications professionals. Among the honorees will be Simeon Booker, pioneering editor-in-chief of JET Magazine and former CPC president. We will also be awarding scholarships to promising students with an aim to keep our legacy alive.

We need your support to ensure that our noble mission continues for generations to come and that the Capital Press Club receives the powerful salute it deserves. Please become a sponsor of the Capital Press Club's 70th Anniversary Gala. Attached below are the sponsorship levels and coinciding benefits. We welcome your support at any level.

For questions and further information or discussion, please don't hesitate to call or email us at President@CapitalPressClub.org. Or you may call me directly at 202-291-9310. We look forward to your support and participation through sponsorship and attendance at the gala. We thank you for your every consideration.

Sincerely,

Hazel Trice Edney

President, Capital Press Club
