Serving Oceanview, Merced Heights, Ingleside, San Francisco and the wider Bay Area with its programs that spans all age groups, from youth to seniors, I.T. Bookman Community Center, among San Francisco's first public/private partnerships began with the vision of late community leader I.T. Bookman, Pilgrim Community Church and then San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein.

The City and County of San Francisco's Department of Aging and Adult Services provides funding for one of the signature programs, "Senior Services" that helps seniors stay connected and healthy.  Blood pressure screenings, nutritional services, information and referrals, computer classes, exercise with Zumba classes, excursions, line dancing and more benefit seniors and their families.  Programs such as the City and County of San Francisco's Hip/Hop Clinic and the YMCA's After School Program give families the secure knowledge that their youth are in safe hands. Fun can be had by all at I.T. Bookman where the public can rent the center at a very reasonable community rate for town hall meetings, movie nights, fashion shows, bat mitzvahs, bar mitzvahs, baby showers, wedding receptions, quinceaneras, and more. I.T. Bookman Community Center is a great place for community.

Support the work of I.T. Bookman Community Center by attending the "Lakeview Hall of Fame" Dinner and Dance or make a donation, if you can't attend.  Visit www.itbookmancenter.org.
