“Bridging Two Cultures”

 

The San Francisco – Ho Chi Minh City Sister City Committee in conjunction with the Mayor’s Office of International

Trade and Commerce will recognize and present awards to individuals and organizations that have contributed to the

improvement of the Vietnamese American and the Vietnamese communities, enabled the Committee to effectively carry out its mission, as well as aided in the preservation of Vietnamese art and culture.

 

Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward the support of the committee’s program - educational, healthcare,

cultural, biotechnology, trade and other programs.

Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
