THE BUZZ AROUND TOWN:

"Directed by Margo Hall Artistic Director Steven Anthony Jones is Thoroughly Thurgood!" W.E.

Adachi's Talkback with Steven Anthony Jones tonight after the 8 p.m. performance that runs about an hour and half--Fabulous GOOD NEWS... the not so good news, I hear from a reliable source, Audience Development Manager, Gina Snow, tickets are going to be as scarce as hen's teeth. As it was said at last night's "Shark Tank Casting Call and Panel Discussion," "if you're reading about it.  It's probably too late."

Former San Francisco Supervisor, Dr. Amos Brown, President of the NAACP is scheduled for Friday's Talkback.

Civil Rights Attorney Pamela Price of Oakland, who has won cases at the Supreme Court level is on tap for Saturday's 2 p.m. performance.

Fania Davis, co-founder and Executive Director of Restorative Justice for Oakland's Youth, Sister of Angela Davis will be the speaker at the last performance, Saturday at 8 p.m.

Matt Gonzalez, Paul Henderson, Michael Harris, are among the legal heavy weights that have already had their turn at bat.  Let's hope there will be an encore sometime soon.  Plays like "Thurgood" are the tip of the iceberg of what the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre can, did, and will do with your support.
Remember Stanley Williams and Quentin Easter, who left us too soon five years ago, and all of the wonderful talent, past and present that have displayed their gifts under the auspices of the Lorraine Hansberry Theater.  And let's not forget the lady for whom the theatre company is named, what a bright light that began here in the Bay Area and her light still shines.  Help make it shine brighter.

LIGHTS--SOUND--ACTION!!-Devon Alli's Calling Card!

IT'S AMAZING WHAT YOUNG GIFTED MINDS CAN DO. DON'T BE SURPRISED WHEN SHARK TANK COMES CALLING IN THE ATL, where Lightfreq is based. Devon, be Ready and Remember Stephen Deberry's advise about "antifragility" based on Nassim Nicholas Taleb's "Antifragile: Things that Gain From Disorder" that  caused a buzz in the audiences.

To paraphrase, less eloquently than Stephen, basically he said "keep on keeping on.  What does not destroy you will make you stronger."  (Everyone, be on the Look Out for Johnnie Burrell's  Shark Tank Report on Internationalmediatv.com and hear all the great advice from the panelists for yourself.)
