Teen Power: Be a Force in the Fight Against Human Trafficking
2016 Poster & Writing Contest Award Ceremony
 
Wednesday, February 10, 2016
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Koret Auditorium, San Francisco Main Public Library
100 Larkin Street, San Francisco 
 
San Francisco Supervisor Katy Tang
presents the prizes to the Teen Poster and Writing Contest winners
 
Youth from across the Bay Area will gather to share experiences in anti-trafficking advocacy and prevention. There will be youth speakers and performers, including: The Regent Collective Dance Company from Notre Dame High School, The Breaking Barriers Choir, & The Livewater Band. 
 
This is a free event for ages 13 and up.
Families, teachers, and other professionals working with youth are welcome.
Food & drinks will be provided.

Mission Neighborhood Centers - Mission Girls in partnership with the Domestic Violence Consortium and Women's Advocacy Groups is hosting the annual One Billion Rising REVOLUTION event at the Women's Building on Friday, February 12, 2016! Join us for an afternoon of creativity, dancing, drumming and rising in the community. We invite you, our community partners, our friends and family to take a stand against violence against women and girls.

Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
