Football legends and stars Steve Young, Roger Staubach, Mike Ditka, Tony Dungy, Brent Jones, Jerry Kramer, Jack Del Rio, Benjamin Watson, and others graced the stage at the SUPER BOWL 50 BREAKFAST that featured the BART STARR AWARD at San Francisco's Hilton Hotel.
Star Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis received the prestigious award
Past recipients of the award include Peyton Manning, Warren Moon, LaDainian Tomlinson, Brent Jones, Cris Carter, Reggie White, and Kurt Warner, to name a few. The breakfast was more than a precursor to the following days SUPER BOWL 50, or just another star-studded event. It was an incredible moment in time. Tune in to an awards ceremony, and listen to stories untold.
CAM NEWTON, YOU'RE THE MAN! I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY SAY
And they are saying a lot...All I know is I hope your Momma and Daddy 'nem were praying for you when "baby boy" was in the throes of struggle as billions of dollars were made around the contest of the century, Superbowl 50!  I'm proud of you Cam for being the man you are, experiencing growing pains on a very visible stage.
To overcome the adversity of being overlooked at your original college, leaving to go to a lesser school and bringing them to victory, going back to the big leagues and taking Auburn to championship, leading the Carolina (Who?) Panthers to a 19-1 record into the Superbowl, Cam Newton, you sulk if you want to; but you weren't sulking when you walked away from disrespect. Anyone listening to the audio you heard in real time of Broncos' Chris Harris adding insult to injury...Oh please, who worth their salt wouldn't have walked away from that.
Saturday Night Live Quip about Newton and Manning Prior to Superbowl 50...gives an interesting perspective.."Ebony and Ivory, In the press there's a real discrepancy..."

When the heart of a champion hurts what do you do? I'd just like to see in the press of time, agony and glory what would all of the arrogant commentators and pontificators who make millions off the sweat of others like Cam Newton as they sit back in the press boxes you pay pay for, do ?  They get paid to sit around and comment and dare judge the champion heart of Cam Newton.  We've never seen anything like, Cam Newton.  Sometimes you've got to speak up for yourself. Go head, Cam!

THEY GOT SOMETHING TO SAY SO THEY CAN COLLECT THEIR PAY!  YOU'RE WORKIN' IT AND THEY'RE TALKING...

CAM, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!
AND BTW,  PEYTON, VON MILLER  AND THE DENVER BRONCOS,CONGRATULATIONS!!!
BEY KEPT IT TOGETHER...NOT FALLING... "NOOOT  TODAAAY!"
After stomping across a grassy field, Beyonce didn't let slippery shoes stop her...

SUPER BOWL 50 SHOWS SAN FRANCISCO'S TRUE COLORS

San Francisco laid out the Red/Gold Carpet for Super Bowl 50
San Francisco Moves Homeless for Superbowl 50....Really?  No expense was spared in San Francisco celebrations.  So Why Not Move the Homeless into homes... and most of all Prevent Homelessness!  Is there any help out there besides ACCE.  I mean really?... screaming at Skyscrapers (been there done that with ACCE and that was about all that saved some homes as homeowners were on their knees for additional time for modifications that were no where near the bargain the banks got when they were bailed out).
With all the educated folks and all the money in San Francisco, folks facing evictions have no help except the Eviction Defense Collaborative (focus renters more so than homeowners) and ACCE.
ONE RICH SAN FRANCISCAN WITH A THREE YEAR HISTORY IN THE CITY IS FED UP. MOVE THE HOMELESS "RIFF RAFF" SO REPORTED IN THE WASHINGTON POST 2/18/16.  IF THEY WERE SWEPT AWAY FOR THE SUPER BOWL, WHY NOT PERMANENTLY?

The mild mannered professional residents of Midtown found themselves taking it to the streets to fight for their homes. Who'd a thought it would come to this?! Let's hope they win and not become "homeless riff raff!"
At least there is some good news from the housing wars.  Supervisor Malia Cohen shares news of affordable housing. Deadline is February 23rd.
And Remember Marcus Millichap Real Estate Investment Services  and LISC, a partner with the City, trying to take church created affordable housing in the Fillmore and turn it into market rate (1 bedroom starting at $3,000 a month-up to $7,000 for a three bedroom apartment)?   Thanks to seeing Supervisor London Breed's FACEBOOK post I can say that's not going to happen. The suit championed by former Mayor Willie Brown, former City Attorney Louise Renne and NAACP's Dr. Brown was settled. OMG, it's wild that it took FORMER City leaders to step up to the plate with the community to stop the travesty.
July 28_ 2015 at the Court House on McAllister  a news conference was held about the suit to save the affordable Frederick Douglass Haynes Gardens Apartments. The case has been settled. (Click image for Chronicle story.)
You've seen The Big Short with Brad Pitt and Christian Bale, mind you!  You've Seen 99 Homes!  You've Read the Reports.  Why is it that you still blame the defenseless homeowners facing billion-dollar banks?
(Someone made a second mortgage loan to former San Franciscan O.J. Simpson although there was a large judgement by the Goldman's because Simpson said he didn't do it the mortgage was approved.)
And the stories go on and on...do your on search. With the banks being bailed out and continuing on their path of unjust profits, how is it that intelligent people in San Francisco cannot come up with solutions to prevent further homelessness and keep folks in their homes and also make a way for a teacher, nurse, fireman, policeman and other everyday people to purchase a home.
With the banks being bailed out with tax-payers dollars, the moral imperative was for every homeowner to have their paperwork calibrated to a fair and equitable loan that would keep a family in their home and pay the banks.  It's all made up...just as they made up "derivatives" and other products to create a man-made financial disaster.  The banks can make a man-made financial solution.
Those with spiritual eyes, can see why the banking industry is judged in Revelation with a destruction that comes in one hour worldwide.  The precursor to that judgement came in the worldwide 2008 mortgage meltdown and there were other signs. "Righteousness exalts a nation; sin is a reproach."
Another ripple indicating financial armageddon "is a coming"---a warning posted in Forbes a few years back after "the recovery: "Big Banks and Derivatives: Why Another Financial Crisis is Inevitable:" "http://www.forbes.com/sites/stevedenning/2013/01/08/five-years-after-the-financial-meltdown-the-water-is-still-full-of-big-sharks/#5748226a5474
So with the inevitable, what do we do?  "Holler and throw up booth our hands!?"  I think not.  It's time to create our own bubble of financial security amid the malaise of greed.  There is enough money and intelligence and hopefully mercy to create solutions to save the 3,000 homeowners ACCE says are facing foreclosure and homelessness and there's enough to restore those who have lost their homes in this City.  Enough money has already come through this "City of Refuge," this "City that Can," both publicly and privately to create a fair and just economic bubble that will have prosperity for all.
Let's make San Francisco once again worthy of being a place to leave one's heart.
