Attorney Jacq Wilson of San Francisco, co-founder of "Advocates for Justice" with his brother Jacque Wilson, an attorney in the San Francisco Public Defender Office, brings to the forefront yet another case of abuse of children by officials of the Modesto City Schools, where the Wilson twins were educated. A meeting is called for Monday, August 15th in Modesto. Jacq Wilson recently participated as a panelist at the San Francisco Black Film Festival's Racial Profiling and Implicit Bias Panel held at Congregation Emanu-El. The panel was sponsored in part by the Unity Group of Congregation Emanu-El. Wilson shared some of the problems "Advocates for Justice" had encountered. Your Child May Be Endangered!
An 8-year old boy was physically attacked by his teacher. The teacher admitted that he was angry when he physically attacked the little boy in front of the boy’s classmates.
The teacher, who suspected that the little boy had taken pokemon cards off his desk, grabbed the little boy’s body and shirt with such force that an audible rip was heard throughout the class. The teacher then hit the little boy in the back of his head in front of the boy’s classmates. The violent attack left a cut on the boy’s body and a tear in the boy’s shirt.
The little boy’s story was corroborated by students and substantiated by Modesto City Schools (MCS). MCS concluded that the “teacher did not conduct himself appropriately”, but the teacher is back in his classroom, and it’s just business as usual in the MCS district.
The mother of the 8-year old boy is attending the August 15, 2016 school board meeting at 6:00 p.m. She is demanding answers, justice, and requesting community’s support. Her son is a “victim of violence”, and she can’t believe that the district is allowing this physically abusive teacher back in the classroom. She wants to make sure that what happened to her little boy never happens to another child again.
The mom also wants to know why MCS is failing to provide students with a “safe environment”.

In addition, we will discuss the Thursday, September 1, 2016 Raiders v. Seattle Game and tailgate.
AFJ is purchasing ten tickets for students. Anyone else is welcomed to attend, but they will have to pay their own entrance fee. For this game only, we are able to secure tickets for less than $25.00.
The game starts at 7:00 p.m. We plan on starting our tailgate between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m.
