HBCUs are America’s national treasures! Act now to preserve the legacy of these institutions!
UNCF is calling on HBCU alumni, supporters and advocates to email or tweet your Senators today and ask them to fund the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Historic Preservation Program - a federal grant program that could help save over 700 historic properties on HBCU campuses.
Congress is poised to pass legislation that would provide between $5 million to $10 million in annual funding for this initiative through 2023 if passed before the end of the year. Currently we have support for this initiative only in the House, and need your Senators to support at least a $5 million appropriation in the final bill.
Please take action by urging your Senators to #PreserveHBCUs - NOW!
Here are 3 easy ways you can help #PreserveHBCUs!
