Holiday Tree Lighting at McCoppin Square
December 1, 5 to 7 p.m.
1200 Taraval Street
Join the People of Parkside Sunset (POPS), Office of Supervisor Katy Tang, and the Parkside Library for their 4th annual Holiday Tree Lighting celebration. Make an ornament to hang on the tree with Parkside Library, plus enjoy refreshments, caroling, and meet local merchants from Taraval Street. Visit the event site for more information.
Neighborhood Party in Chinatown!
December 2, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Join the Shared Schoolyard Project and Supervisor Mark Farrell at Gordon J. Lau Elementary School on Saturday, December 2nd, from 11 am - 1 pm for an exciting kick-off event marking the grand re-opening of the schoolyard for the public to use on weekends. This event will include games and activities for the whole neighborhood, free lunch and a ribbon cutting ceremony. RSVP today!

5th Annual Crab Feed in the Tenderloin

San Francisco Breed & State Senator Weiner Announce Legislation to Hinder Thieves

Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
