April 4th is the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  On Good Friday,  The Right Reverend James A. Forbes Jr., Pastor Emeritus of the historic Riverside Church in New York City, where Dr. King spoke out against the Vietnam War, April 4, 1967, a year to the date before he was assassinated on April 4, 1968, will be the keynote speaker announcing a national movement.  Click this link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC1Ru2p8OfU) to hear Dr. King's sermon at Riverside Church founded by John D. Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
