Serendipitously, Alpha Buie and Frances Luster are in the forefront of
the home page video of Jackson Street Productions' TIDES FOUNDATION VIDEO featuring Tiffany Shlain, Julia Parker Benello, Kate Stayman-London and others.
Frances was honored on St. Patrick's Day with the Golden Girl Award at the San Francisco Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women's "Golden Girls "Bridging the Generations' Hats and Gloves Tea" presented by President, Attorney Karen Gilbert and Immediate Past President and NCBW National Board Member, Dr. Maxine Huffman.  Alpha was in attendance at the sold-out event.
Further to the small world film industry coincidence,
Alpha Buie was instrumental in the production of SF Black Film Festival's 2015 sold-out Opening Film about San Francisco Businessman Charlie Walker, "America's Still the Place" directed by Patrick Giles.
