MAYOR LONDON BREED ON SHERIFF VICKI HENNESSY’S ANNOUNCED RETIREMENT

Sheriff Hennessy has been a tremendous leader for our City, both as our Sheriff and in her long career in public service. She was a trailblazer in the Sheriff’s Department, paving the way for women to serve, and she has fought to advance public safety and modernize our criminal justice system. We are lucky to have had her leading the Sheriff’s Department and I want to wish her the best of luck in her well-deserved retirement.”
