Dear Friend,
Today, marks the 57th anniversary of the historic 1963 March on Washington For Jobs and Freedom. John Lewis, at the age of 23, was the youngest speaker at the March. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was 34; Bayard Rustin was 51, and A. Phillip Randolph was 74. It was an intergeneration milestone in the struggle for democracy. Tonight, Congresswoman Barbara Lee and the Honorable Elihu Harris present their Tribute to John Lewis. We look forward to having you join them and their friends in honoring the dynamic life and legacy of John Robert Lewis.
