Thank you for registering and attending the USBC Virtual Black History Month Program. 
The historical journey of Black businesses from Tulsa Black Wall Street to the Present was explored by economic historian Dr. Julianne Malveaux. Highlights included a fitting poem for the occasion by Voice Porter, the Black National Anthem by 105 Voices of History HBCU Choir, a touching memoriam featuring Ashley Tamar, remarks from our Chamber Leaders and Business Owners and a fabulous closing performance by Ruben Studdard.

Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
